Going Home…

I am finally headed home for a time.  The last few weeks around here has been great but pretty chaotic as we’ve been wrapping things up and also trying to get places.  In Pick a Pocket we’ve been working long hours getting our pockets done.  One of the craftiest woman I know, Theresa, came up with these ideas for support.  We made actual pockets, about 10 x 8, filled with all kinds of things that represent each person in pick a pocket.  So mine has things that represent photography, and human trafficking and also info on the projects we are involved in.  I created little pin hole cameras to put in mine.  We are sending them out to the people who donated to the book and we will sell them on the tour as well.  We’ve been really busy working on pockets and wrapping things up to head on the tour.  Josiah and a few others are headed down to Nigeria today for a week to document some of the amazing things going on down there. Getting there plane tickets when there is a giant ash cloud above Europe can be pretty annoying.  But now it’s time to head home…

It will be a little bit of a whirlwind, but there will be some good quality time with people.  I am scheduled to arrive on California soil on April 29th just in time for my little brother’s birthday.  I will be emerged into wedding preparations as Kate, one of my best friends in the world gets married.  Josiah will head towards California around the 6th or 7th after he gets back from Nigeria.  I am seriously praying he gets enough money to get his ticket over there.  At the end of May we will head to Michigan to hang out with Josiah’s family and do some fishing.  From there we will drive down to Nashville, TN and join up with the rest of our Pick a Pocket team for the tour.  We will be there for a few weeks, going to different venues, sharing about our projects, playing music, putting on a photo and art exhibition and more.  From there we will be back in Michigan for a short time and then back to Germany to start preparing for the next Marriage of the Arts DTS (discipleship training school).

I can’t wait to be home and hang out with friends and family.  I’m always willing to talk about what I’m doing on the other side of the world so anyone who wants to meet up for coffee let me know.

See you soon!
